This is an interesting pin that uses unset rivoli stones wired to a double brass filigree backing that looks like those I've seen on many Vendomé pieces. Each stone actually has a tiny whole through which the wire passes. The stones are set on three levels around a matching faceted glass bead with a crystal chaton on top. The color really depends on the angle you are looking at it from. From one angle I see a real watermelon effect and another shows me lots of green, blue and purple. The stones on the lowest level on one side seem to be wired a little looser than the other side, but all are secure. I have recently seen an identical pin signed Vendome and believe that the original cartouche that would have been applied to the back simply came off.
